Abstract

This document analyzes the emergence and beginnings of the LGTBQ+ movement in El Salvador and the relevance it has had in the historical vindication process of human rights from the work point of view as a contribution to the salvadorean culture. This document addresses the visibilization demanded from the State, as part of gender equality, as well as the achievements that have been strengthening and consolidating the inclusive policies through the legal entities ever since 2010. It especially addresses the incidence that the groups AMATE, El Salvador and Entre Amigos (Among Friends) have on people who do not belong nor identify themselves with any group related to sexual diversity; it describes their proposals for change with the idea of improving and encouraging tolerance, respect and social harmony.
