Entorno journal has been published since 1997 and has always been used as a means of communicating the analysis of national reality, sometimes with a purely academic focus and at other times with a good dose of pragmatism of the experienced professional. They have always been the point of view of their authors and not necessarily the Universidad Tecnológica de El Salvador.

The main objective has also been to promote, promote, study, develop, study, work, work in the University, also as professionals, linked to this house of higher education and the country's environment.
