Abstract
The Museum of American Poetry was “founded in 2004 by Jon West-Bey” The museum has represented a space for community building, a for poetry, art and music as a conversation starter. It’s a place where people can come and talk to a poet or to an artist, or to simply grab a chair and begin to write. It is a space that works with poets, artists and musicians at the local, national and international levels; it promotes the idea that local writers and artists should be located.
