Abstract
This article discusses curatorial practices used in the exhibition of “ordinary objects”, referring to all those artefacts that are used by people in their everyday lives, which now constitute museographic samples. Art museums, are beginning to collect contemporary objects relevant to a variety of contexts, such as, social, political or economocial.
This article presents ideas about the experience involved in this type of exhibitions, based on a visit made by the author to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, which nowadays is developing a collection of ordinary objects.
