Abstract

In an increasingly technological world, where information is available to a "click", whether on our smartphone, tablet or computer, it is a challenge for the Salvadoran academy to develop social, political or economic content that will help people to be able to interpret their reality, from a more objective and pragmatic approach. Interpreting social reality with the tools provided by science is a challenge today. Editing a book or magazine requires a very keen, tenacious academic vision and, above all, with resources to obtain or generate new, interesting and timely information. Information and knowledge can free the human being from the bondage of ignorance and domination. Access to information and knowledge should no longer be a privilege of a few. And since knowledge is coarse, it is necessary to create specialized media to reach the sectors of interest. Hence the importance of the specialized Kóot journal, which is designed with a multidisciplinary approach, which allows to understand, from the perspective of the social sciences, important aspects such as culture, art, philosophy, among other topics, on the very origin of man, his reality and his environment.
Journal number 9 is structured with a variety of topics that help us understand our national identity, Salvadoran history, heritage, the origins of our urban development, social control, public hygiene, education, cultural journalism, the artisanal development of El Salvador and the cosmovision of the artists around our territory. It is worth mentioning that there are philosophical and interpretative themes about mythical, scientific and true knowledge.
